Advocate for your Children!

Parents, grandparents and guardians: You are your child's first and best advocate!  Young children need the adults in their lives to stand up and be heard on their behalf!

Today, most young children in New York have no parent at home during the day.  Families need  affordable, high-quality child care options.  Children who attend high-quality early childhood programs are healthier and perform better in school. They’re less likely to smoke, abuse alcohol and illegal drugs, engage in risk-taking behavior, and be arrested and incarcerated.   But high quality child care can be costly and not easily accessed.  That’s why we ask parents to advocate for the availability of high quality, affordable child care for all children.

Tell your story

Telling your personal story is the most important thing you can do to influence lawmakers and improve New York State’s early care and education system. Whether you are a parent of an infant, toddler or school age child , a child care provider or a business owner with employees who need high-quality child care, your “real life” story demonstrates the importance of this issue.  If you would like to contact Child Care Solutions to inform us about your struggle finding high quality child care you  can reach us at 315-446-1220 or email CCS@childcaresolutionscny.org, Marketing Director. We urge you to also contact and tell your story to your elected officials at:
