Professional Development Specialist
Professional Development Specialist designs and implements educational and consulting programs for child care providers, other early childhood professionals, and school-age professionals with the goal of enhancing the quantity and quality of early care and education available throughout the Central New York region.
Education/Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, birth-grade 2 or N- grade 6, Child & Family Studies or related field that includes a minimum of 12 credits in early childhood education; must possess NYS Training and Technical Assistance Professional Credential or achieve credential within two years of initial employment AND 3 years of experience working directly with children birth to five and families in a child care or early education program or school-aged child care centers; adult education experience training and/ or providing coaching and technical assistance to child care staff and providers preferred.
Pay Range: $24.96 - $29.87
Data Specialist
The Data Specialist will manage and support the data collection, analysis, and reporting requirements for Child Care Solutions’ Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) and Infant Toddler contracts, as well as other contracts and data-related initiatives, as needed.
Education/Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field w/ minimum of 2-4 years of experience in tracking and managing multiple sources of data.
Pay Range: $24.96 - $29.87 per hour
Legally Exempt Specialist
Legally Exempt Specialists are responsible for processing and approving the applications and renewals for families of children receiving child care assistance who select legally exempt child care providers; conducting compliance Inspections of legally exempt child care programs in Cayuga and Onondaga Counties; and enforcement of applicable laws and regulations with the goal of enhancing the quality and stability of home-based child care in our community.
Education/Experience Requirement: High School Diploma w/ 1-2 years of experience in program monitoring, compliance, and enforcement of applicable laws and regulations, or 2 years of experience working in a child care setting.
Pay Range: $21.37 - $25.13 per hour

Registrar
Registrars are responsible for implementing the regulatory process for school-age and family child care programs in Onondaga County. Implements school-age and family child care registration activities in Onondaga County, working under the auspices of the NYS Office of Children & Family Services (NYS OCFS) Division of Child Care Services (DCCS) through a sub-contract with the Onondaga County Department of Social Services (DSS).
Education/Experience Requirement: High School Diploma w/ 2 years’ experience working in family child care, school-age or other child care settings OR other experience related to program monitoring, compliance, and enforcement of applicable laws and regulations.
Pay range: $24.84 - $29.48 per hour
