Practicing the Pause

Registration is closed for this event

We live in a fast-paced, hectic world that not only affects us but children too!  Mindfulness is a practice which allows an opportunity to reduce stress and anxiety by being present in the moment.  The pause is practised through an awareness of feelings and senses.  Did you know you can start mindfulness practices with children as early as toddlerhood?  Participants will learn to incorporate mindfulness in the classroom encouraging relaxation, improved focus, increased self-esteem, better mood, reinforces social skills, decreases worry, promotes favourable decision making and self-regulation.  Participants will discuss how mindfulness can enhance positive behaviour management skills in children and assist with transitions.

Before registering, please be sure to read our Professional Development Program Policies & Procedures. A completed registration with payment will assume that you have read and understood the policies and procedures.
