NYS Child Care Deserts Business Course

We are offering Business Courses in conjunction with the NYS OCFS Child Care Desert Grant. This course will be done in person with limited seating.

This workshop will introduce an understanding of NYS requirements for businesses, including insurance information, budgeting, hiring and staff orientation, and tax I.D. requirements. Also, we will discuss ways a provider can market their program, considering demographic information for the area they will do care in, first impressions and initial interviews. Participants will learn about conflicts that will/could arise and how to problem solve and communicate correctly. Communication is key!
