NYS Child Care Desert Spanish Informational Sessions

Families are in desperate need of finding child care and are in what is known as "Deserts".

New York is asking you to Invest in the Child Care Deserts Grant offered by NYS Office of Children and Family Services hoping to address the child care areas considered "Deserts" that are across our state.  "Deserts" are areas that do not have enough licensed / registered child care slots to serve the children living there.  This grant opportunity helps those interested in opening a child care program in areas of need.  

$100 million in funding will be available to expand child care capacity in areas of NYS with low availability. 

There is still time to apply; follow these steps:

1. Review information about Deserts on OCFS website at:  https://ocfs.ny.gov/programs/childcare/deserts/
2. Create an account and complete the online Orientation (specific to the modality type) at:  https://ocfs.ny.gov/programs/childcare/providers/cdc-orientation.php
3. Register for our Child Care Deserts Informational Sessions by clicking the CLICK HERE TO REGISTER button above.
