Child Abuse and Maltreatment with Shaken Baby Syndrome

This training covers the topic of child abuse and maltreatment/neglect, including SBS.  Participants will learn how to report a suspected case of child abuse and maltreatment/neglect.  Students will aso evaluate situations to determine whether there is reasonable cause to suspect child abuse or maltreatment/neglect.  Identify signs and behavioral indicators commonly associated with child abuse and maltreatment/neglect.  They will also review the legal framework for the NYS Child Protective System.
